Considering how easy the Mets and Yankees folded, I’m P155ed my Padres blew that 2-1 series lead on the Dodgers.
That could have been our World Series!

Also 3rd base coach sending Stanton was pretty funny.
Not many pro athletes I could outrun today, but Giancarlo would be one
Freeman does it again! Unreal.
Offer him whatever he wants to cross over. If we can’t beat them, buy them
For someone who is still relatively new to baseball, why would the Dodgers not elect to use Yamamoto as a starter after his great performance in game 2?
Volpe with a grand slam to make it 5-2 Yankees in the 3rd. Holy ■■■■.
Big day for him so far
Probably needs another day or two rest, even for a WS.
He will pop up again in game 5 or 6 if it gets that far
Only the great Madison Bumgarner could be the superhero and pitch on no days rest.
Oh really. There are forced rest periods aren’t there?
Dodgers get a couple back to be down 4-5.
More just pitching takes a hell of a lot out of guys arms, so they need time to recover.
Wells solo, 6-4 Yankees
Torres 3 run blast makes it 10-4
Volpe has had a huge night
I’ve seen some madness from crowds at sporting events, but that is up there with the worst
Freddie Freeman is unbelievable
Generally starters will work off a minimum of 4 days rest to recover (assuming they will pitch 90-100 pitches in a game), relievers and closers can pitch more often as they won’t throw as many pitches in a given game. It’s not uncommon in World Series for starting pitchers to come in as relievers in games later in the series as everyone is wearing out and teams are going for broke to win.
I’m 48 and pitched all season this year (with some time off because of old-man hamstrings), I would generally throw 60-80 pitches a game and it would take 3-4 days to feel ok. At major league level, hitters will feast on a pitcher 5% off.
Freddie Freeman is unbelievable
Series MVP.
That’s really interesting! Thanks for sharing. Seems like the whole season must be really tactical with who plays every game…
We are so used to other sports where you can expect every person regularly.
Judge 2 run HR and Chisholm HR give Yankees a 3-0 lead in the first
Stanto solo to make it 5-0 and LA on to their third pitcher and it’s only 3 innings in
