Three laps completed and no bingles. Good racing already.
Racing has been interesting.
Coverage is meh. Loses zing when some comms have moved on.
Watching it on Fox is better as the comms are the same group all year and they are great.
Need a safety car. Whoever is in there must be bored off their scone.
In my opinion the V8s always provide great racing. Far more closer than F1 (although this year has been better).
I was watching two old one hour Bathurst highlights packages last night on you tube from 1984 and 1986. In one of those there were 66 entrants (in different classes of course), ā ā ā ā complaining about how slow some of them were, less reliable cars, less safety precautions (in one instance the tow truck was down near the Dipper or Esses and the other cars were allowed to keep racing while they removed another car. No safety car in sight.
Run off areas and safety barriers were rare and only in certain areas of the track.
So many other variables back then that could effect a race outcome that maybe we donāt have today!?
Thanks guy who isnāt Shannon Noll.
Doco about Toby Price preview to 2025 Dakar on SBS right now.
Fabulous doco. SBSOD has a lot of Dakar content. Prologue and day one over. I wonāt say any more but worth a watch.
Notable Aussies are Toby of course (in a car this year with Sam Sunderland) and Daniel (Chucky) Sanders who is a real chance for a podium finish, including top spot.
Other Aussies are Houlihan and Hederics both on bikes.
If youāve never watched this before it is the most challenging and gruelling off road rally race in the world.
āthe most daunting and infamous rally in the world takes place and will be held over 8000km in the Saudi Arabian sandā
SBS shows highlights each day but also has extra content included. On SBSOD also.
We donāt have a thread for this year, but thought it was worth posting.
SVG wins both street races in NASCAR Chicago.
Video recap was pretty good and crazy.
Heās the best over there in the races involving right turns
Yeah itās like American drivers are just like Zoolander and can only turn in one direction.
Mostert crowned Supercars Champion for 2025 after coming second in the last race.
Feeney had controlled the season but with the new finals series Mostert and WAU got their act together and stole the championship on the last race.
Mostert in tears of joy as he wondered if he would ever achieve this moment.
Feeney in tears at the cruelty of sport.
I like Chaz and am happy for him, but that is a bullshit result. Feeney deserved that championship.
Feeneyās engine was done. They had issues yesterday and then it got worse today.
Feel like Iām in the minority given some of the outcry on socials, but I quite like the finals format.
No doubt Feeney has been the gold standard the entire year, just couldnāt get it done when it counted.
Iām just happy I donāt have to listen to bogan jets or have my traffic disrupted any further.
Might as well race Kambrook toasters against Russel Hobbs multi-cookers.
It was always going to be a battle of fairness vs excitement.
Finals was more interesting, but Feeney very unlucky
Just signed for another 9 years of it ![]()
Thatās a quality first-corner crash(es) ![]()
88 now a lot poorer.
