I remember Rollins telling a story about going to see the Clash in DC. The Bad Brains were supporting them.
He said The Clash felt tame when they came on after the Bad Brains.

I mean you can draw the long bow that without Bad Brains, you don’t get straight edge so you don’t get Earth Crisis and the violent and militant thugs that seemed to pop up through the mid west afterwards.

A couple of times I’ve been mistaken for someone else.

  • at LA airport mistaken as a band member in Lagwagon, as they were on my flight. I trued to fastrack immigration with all the band members and guitars. When security found oil it they sent me packing.

  • got mistaken for Fat Mike at a NOFX show. I didn’t realise but I was drinking next to some of the band members prior to the show. Got asked for a few autographs. But fk me, I ain’t that fat.
