On Melanie’s passing, and on Australia Day…
I’m reminded of a retrospective Triple J did a few years ago where they interviewed people about past tracks.
And apparently the producer for Hilltop Hoods asked them if they liked Nosebleed Section.
‘Yeah, we do.’
‘But…do you Really like it?’
‘Yeah, why?’
‘Because you’re gonna be playing it for the next twenty years…’

Kick album.
It’s not The Swing…but very few albums are.
It’s pretty…pretty good.

It’s always been my favourite INXS album…I traveled around Europe with it as one of about 10 albums I had taped for my walkman (back in 1983  )…knew every word of every song and never got sick of it.

I had a similar but not as cool experience with OOMOOS.
Tape got eaten.
Luckily I was born in the golden age.

Than Kick??
Wholeheartedly agree!

Than everything else in their discography

Touch and go between SS and The Swing, but… otherwise, yes… and comfortably too.

The track called Just a Feeling has a passing resemblance to some Died Pretty.

I don’t think I know that one, I’ll seek it out.

Died Pretty are an Ozzie band from Sydney around in the late 1980’s and 1990’s. In particular l recommend Free Dirt & Doughboy Hollow. Their lead singer Ron Penno died a year or so ago.
