Love that
Dire Straits in yoiur head
The first time I saw Dire Straits was at Festival Hall in Melbourne in 1981 during their Making Movies Tour.
It was the second show of the tour after playing one night in Perth.
Love Over Gold hadnāt been releasedā¦probably hadnāt even been finished at the time of the concert.
At a point during the concert, Mark Knopfler told the audience that they had a new song to play and that this would be just the second time that they had played it (first time being in Perth I would think).
The song was Telegraph Road.
O M Gā¦I was not ready for the brilliance of the songā¦itās still one of all time favourite concert memories.
As an 80 yr old at the time that would of been a great experience for you
I know a couple that had Better Man as their bridal waltz.
They probably should have invested a bit more time in listening to the lyrics.
Canāt find the butter, man!
Mrs Azza chose this song to walk down the aisle to:
God bless her. Almost made up for the bullshit Cure song she also wanted played.

Has there ever been a stranger band than King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard?
Iāve been listening to them quite a bit lately and have no idea what Iām likely to get.
According to my spreadsheet, Iāve now listened to 27 of their albums (currently listening to āMade in Timelandā).
The band must be made up of a heap of people with split personalitiesā¦theyāre just all over the place.
Of the 27 albums Iāve listened to, only two have made it to my playlistā¦āPolygondwanalandā and āPetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnationā
And yet I keep listening and hoping that the next one will be worth it.
Have you got to Omnium Gatherum as yet?
I think it may be one you will like.
Yeahā¦itās on my list so Iāve listened to itā¦it didnāt make the cut.
Quit whilst your behind.
I admire their work ethic, but I feel they have no grasp of the concept of quality over quality.
Just because you have an idea doesnāt mean its a good one, lads.
