Our English teacher in our 2nd year secondary, so I must have been 13/14, walked in on our first lesson with him and plugged in a portable record player. " Sit down and listen to this" put on Every picture tells a story by Rod Stewart. Played the whole album and then farked off to his next class. Needless to say he was everyone’s favourite teacher.

3 - And you may find yourself living in a shotgun shack
And you may find yourself in another part of the world
And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile
And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife

2 -Hello darkness, my old friend
I’ve come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping

1 -… So, so you think you can tell heaven from hell?
Blue skies from pain?
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?

Final placings Wednesday
Anything could happen

It started when I was cleaning dishes
And the phone rang in the hall

I’ve been walking in the rain
Just to get wet on purpose

Just a short note
You’ll find the key inside

Can’t be the best line if nobody knows what it is.

Maybe it is because they were the epitome of BAC*.

*Bland American Crap.

Please. You are talking to the creme de la creme of Blitz’ musicologists. Of course they’ll know.

All those who consider themselves as a creme de la creme musicologist should “like” this post, so we can identify all those who didn’t vote so their votes elsewhere can be ignored.

“I’ve been contemplating, suicide”

But it really doesn’t suit my style
So I’ll just act bored instead
And contain the blood I would have shed
