NBA 2024/25

Still likely bundled out fairly easily even if they make it out of the playin, probably a gentleman’s sweep but gotta be in it to win it I guess

For the regular NBA watchers - is the improvement in Giddey’s stats associated with LaVine leaving?

Essentially, yes. He was obviously brought in to be the primary ball handler, and with LaVine gone he’s really taken the reigns of the offense, not just him but the likes of Coby White has gone up to another level. I’m a big fan of Matas Buzelis, he’s got a good connection with Giddey. There’s a bit to like about the Bulls. They can build around those 3.

I’ve been critical of Giddey and I’m glad to see him prove me wrong. He’s been great since the break

It’s also not just the improvement in the stat lines, it’s the ability to nail the clutch moments. Killed off any chance of a Nugget comeback in the 4th with consecutive threes.

I think the improvement in his outside shot has come mainly from the plays they run putting him in better spots for open attempts.

His defence has improved steadily as well, he’s becoming harder to get around for the close in shots and drives.

I think the mental side of things is on the improve as well. Becoming an meme and having opposition fans in your grill 24/7about being a pedo would be pretty challenging for a 20yo.

Thought a fresh start might do him good, I miss Caruso but like the Dons are doing with their list the Bulls are giving the youth the keys (somewhat)

I hope for Giddey’s sake he doesn’t take anything above a $30mil contract. I think he’s an RFA this upcoming pre-season. He’s a good player, but he’ll get better benefit out of a $20mil to $25mil contract where he can continue developing without the negative fandom it attracts. He’ll also be more ‘tradeable’ in the short term which while it sounds better to get more money and security, being able to be traded means you’ll get somewhere else and have another chance than being stuck at a poorly run team like Chicago.

Bronny with 39 in the G-League today after scoring 17pts in the NBA with some playing time the other day.

The kid is getting better.

Lillard out indefinitely with DVT

That’s ■■■■ luck.
He won’t play this season. Not even if they somehow reach the Finals.
This is similar to a blood clot issue which the NBA has been incredibly picky on for quite some time. So even if Milwaukee doctors clear him, the NBA doctors have to clear him.

Lakers had a problem with Koloko through the summer and even though our doctors said he was fine and could be ready for the practice games, it still took the NBA longer to approve and he missed the practice games and the beginning of the season.
For memory, he also cannot train whilst the NBA doctors are assessing him.

Yeah, but is it just “march basketball”?
It’s a known phenomenon where players can play out of their skin in the final month of the season and revert to the mean the following season.

We may be ■■■■, but welcome back to miami jimmy

Really thought he would have put on a ‘you can’t win without me’ show for the old home crowd and Riley today.

‘i dont have nothing to say about pat and he better not have nothing to say about me’

enjoy your DNP regular season star warriors

Daniels with a near TD, 19p (50% shooting inc 3/6 triples), 10a, 8r, 4s (+10) but not enough to lift the Hawks to a win in Houston.

Pretty good game between Lakers and Pacers.
Lebron with a tip in at the buzzer for the win.
They benched Halliburton for the last 3 possessions. They were worried he’d get exposed defensively. They probably should have called a timeout and gotten him back in for their last shot.
Luka played well. Reaves was good. Pretty even performance.
Still just 11 points off the bench.

Much better performances after the terrible games in the last week.

Celtics just come out smoking against the Suns 7/9 3’s in 5 minutes.
