In very very late dealings , Hornets redirect Tyus Jones to the Mavs for Branham (and a 7 million dollar trade exception, which is presumably Petersons main interest ) and then help Boston avoid the luxury tax by taking on Xavier Tillman and cash. I assume Tillman fills the 3rd Centre spot that Plumlee vacated, but maybe we just waive him. Peterson loves these little “you scratch my back” tinkerings to amass assets . The real question is the how / who / when he decides to spend all those assets .
The main short term impact of this trade period is that Coby White will become the first option as point guard for the second unit to try to push for a play-in spot , but in doing so have lost Sextons aggression and effort. Whites turnover ratio will be the thing to watch imo, because that was one of Colins main failings. We give up too many points in turnovers across the team, and the offence becomes really clunky without Lamelo.
Any way, the main thing now is whether we can beat Houston without either of Sexton or White. White isn’t expected to play until after the all star break , due to still recovering from injury.

He wanted $35mil+ as an extension. He’s not worth that.
The Nets wanted something like $15mil. He’s worth more than that.
Somewhere around $20mil is about right. Not sure there’ll be a team to pay him that.
But I’m sure a team will take a flyer on him for this year and see how it goes.

I didn’t see that Jock got traded out of Utah. Oh well, the Hawks are a far better situation for him. They’ll be a decent chance of getting through the play-in and into the playoffs.
Jock ends up with 26p 11r 5a 4b in the tight win.

Love to see Charlotte doing well. Have always had a soft spot for them since they were the Bobcats and sucked majorly.
Bulls did way better than I expected. Best players were mostly the 26 new guards fresh off the plane.
