Next Generation Academies

Hello mate!
Yeah don’t think Uppy is in our academy.

Isa isn’t in our academy either. I thought he was but he’s not.

I won’t rest until I have it confirmed whether Ronan Yow Yeh is related to Jahral Yow Yeh or not. I want answers!

I thought id heard off the grape vine that he was, if not, carry on. Uppy could still be made eligible
17th year - 2026
18th year - 2027 (draft eligible)

This is progress, thank you.

Surely. Can’t be that many Yow Yeh’s around.

That poor farker.

Was basically the next big thing in Rugby League. Absolute gun. Then suffered one of the most horrific injuries you’re likely to see on a sporting field and never played another game.

Ok interesting I did not know that.

Jets announce their list March 3.

Is Bewick this years draft or next?

I have a spreadsheet of up to 30 names on it,

Adam Reginato Jnr probably the biggest name, 2030(ish) eligible) won the league b&f in a side that lost the grand final (under 14s),

Ollie Chatfield, 16s who played for St Bernards in 2024, won a league b&f in u14s, moved to western region football league and wasn’t as dominant in an underage side (14.5 in 16.5s)

have emailed, tweeted the club about giving us SOMETHING about the NGA, as we literally didnt even get a newsletter or a tweet about 2025

Will Rodan nominate Port?

Thanks for these posts, really interesting to follow some of these young fellows.

Hope a couple can make it.

Id hope that we do everything possible to grab at least two of Darwish, Bewick (obviously) and Rodan in 27. Don’t love that Rodan was training at Port over the summer, especially if he develops into a top prospect.

Great info. Cheers Rick

Kevin was sensational in the 60’s! A long time ago to be third cousins though

with how many draftable kids in 2027, its likely Tevita nominates Port Adelaide despite having a strong relationship with Koby and Essendon

at the moment, the 2027 cohort looks something like like this;

Koby Bewick - top 5
Moustafa Darwish - second round
Tevita Rodan - second/third round
Ronan Yow Yeh - late/rookie (Cat B)

with the pick matching it makes it increasingly harder to get multiple kids in the one draft which I think is to stop the northern clubs getting academy and father/sons in the one draft.

just a quick google search on that one, might be wrong

Have to factor in to the slight possibility of a big trade EOY and what that looks like. If say a Butters actually became an option (i still think unlikely)…. then first rounders are going back to Port - as he is a restricted free agent. Have to think that likely involves 2027 picks as well.

Unless a good player is part of the trade back.

I still have Bewick as 50/50 in my head on being a Bomber. Its tough when we are also shopping with money to know what that means for trades. Free Agency is preferred no doubt
