At this rate the west will be all over today. Flames really struggling with the Sharks, we are flat and they have come out charging.

Celebrini / Smith is going to be one of the great 1-2 punches in the game in a few years. They are stacked for young top-end talent.

Phew! Big last period put them away.

Now we just need either (or preferably both) Wild and Blues to lose in regulation in their last game, and we are a chance.

Big, big day for wildcard spots.

So, Flames need Wild and/or Blues to lose. If Wild lose in OT the extra point still locks them in.

If the Blues win but in OT, we’re still a chance on tie-break for regulation wins.

But we still have to beat Vegas… And then LA.

Edit: and it’s a bad start on both fronts :frowning:

Blues 4-0 up after 1

Yeah, it’s all Ducks v Wild from here.

Not looking great

It doesn’t matter because we can’t beat Vegas anyway, but Ducks had Wild 2-1 until the last friggin 20 seconds, where they levelled it. This farkin season.

It’s now officially over :frowning:

The East is going to the end though. Habs can seal a spot with a point in their final game tomorrow.
First time in NHL history that all of the US based original 6 have missed the playoffs

Looking pretty good v Vegas

Have the other results killed off the chance?

Spewing on the Wild leveller late

It’s all over regardless of this result now

Flames hit the front, but Vegas levelled again in space of 10 seconds

Challenge coming though

We could miss playoffs by 21 seconds :frowning:

Wings missing last year was rough also

Managed to fight back and level very late v Habs, had the spot covered but Flyers coach pulled the goalie late to try win the game in reg rather than force it to OT v Caps, Wings end up missing out on a tie breaker only.

Caps got demolished rd1 too. Not sure Wings would have fared much better that said

….

Come on Flames, finish them in OT

Go out on a high!

Consolation win is no consolation.

Glad they fought it out, though.

Blues it is. Not the match up I wanted but we did get them 3-1 in the season series

Getting one of LA or Edmonton and Dallas or Colorado out round 1 will be handy.

At least you finally beat us

Auston nipping at Ovi’s heels!

He won’t have the longevity.

If Ovi retired today it would require Auston to have 10 consecutive 50 goal seasons to get the record. Ovi joked at the team skate yesterday that he still reckons he is feeling as good as he did 10 years ago but just takes him an extra day to recover and he hopes to play another 2-3 seasons at least and aim for 1000

I remember when he scored 30 odd in 2016/17 and I thought he was winding down.

He’s scored another 300+.

This year is all time. To break a leg and score 40+ is insane and then you add in he’s 39.

Jets finish the regular season with a 2-1 over Anaheim.
