Not Investment Advice - Just My Opinion

I think I met someone and had experienced something like that during an inspection this week.

The lady I dealt with very excitedly told me to loosen up a spare 30k (or 28k cause it dropped overnight) and get myself a bit coin.

Not a few, not a couple, just one.

Apparently I was mad if I didn’t and would regret it 20 years time cause it’ll be worth a million bucks and paper money wont be worth what it’s, well, written on.

I got a very faint whiff of unhinged.

Lucky for me I don’t have 28k.

Of course it is. I’ve been very sceptical about crypto in its current form. It’s nothing but promise, hype and very limited utility. I think Blockchain/ crypto has a future but not in its current form and not for another 20-30 years.

You forgot TLM

We just did some testing work at their Greenbush Mine south of Perth. Maybe the next big th8ng ?

I hold half of them LKE, CXO, PLS, SYA, LPI, LTR

was anyone on the GAL ride?
They were on my watchlist as one of the next investors stock i thought looked decent at 20c. I have followed then for a couple of years and they had done nothing then Bang.

ESS was one have heard good stuff about too.
I think probably better to be on lithium companys closer to production though.
SYA taken a massive knock lately. may have been iverpriced and probably should have sold down some.

Have to laugh at AGL baulking to Mike Cannon Brookes and now caving in on their proposed demerger. Thought EFC was a rudderless ship but AGL taking the cake.

What were the old fuddy AGL board thinking? Split and have one OK company, and one absolute coal fired anchor shaped millstone that no one would really want to be associated with? It’s like kicking the can down the road for a few years, letting the problem get way worse for someone else to deal with…

I think thats pretty much it. Continue killing the environment for the next 20-30 years but make decent coin and then jettison off their plants/ production to some other company with no scruples to operate/ salvage/ liquify.

The alternative is that they go through short-medium term pain to actually get their act together with renewables but nobody seems to have the energy or desire for that to occur.

I dont think shareholders were ever really enamoured with the prospect of a demerger and it always seemed like a bit of a hard sell to be honest. Im not sure anyone really wanted someone like MCB as the largest shareholder either.

I suspect the point is that the coal half of the company would have massive liabilities for site cleanup even once they stop actually burning coal. Now that sort of stuff is supposed to be covered by rehabilitation bonds etc, but it’s pretty common knowledge that the required amount for ACTUAL cleanup is many times what companies are supposed to set aside in bond. AGL, I think, were trying to shove their dud assets off to one side in a dud company which could stagger on for a few years, then close its coal plants, then go ‘oopsies we haven’t got the $ to cleanup, bankruptcy here we come, what a great shame, I guess the taxpayer will have to pick up the tab…’

Lithium shares, well, mine anyway (VUL, PLS, SYA) copping a flogging today.

Same here - CXO down 19% and AGY down ~%10,

There was an article released the other day saying how Goldman Sachs called a top on battery metals, specifically lithium and now we’re
probably seeing a ripple effect of that.

Yeah, because Goldman Sachs aren’t all dodgy. ■■■■ them.

Usually, that’s because the ■■■■■ are shorting them.
