NRL 2024

The really great thing about Penrith is that most of their players grew up in the area.

AFL Here is a cap for you auskicker
NRL Here is a ball for ya champ!

Any club that has Bellamy as coach is going to be in contention.

Coupled that with the likes of Munster, Papenhuyzen, Hughes etc on their list and it’s a given.

Absolutely & the bit. It won’t change the comms nor this result.

NRL reviews seem like they’re so desperate to not stop play, that they just rush a ■■■■ call on reviews

They don’t have the kahunas to move him on.

then why appoint ruud?

We had our chances.
The better team definitely won (although they could very easily have not).
And you have to respect the fourpeat.
Oh well.
We try again next year.

That’s a debacle. Shocking call. Now I’m angry

No wonder they stopped showing it.

The thing is I don’t think it is clear enough to override the on field call.

I think it was a stone cold try but I’m not convinced the Storms first try was legit.
The officiating was ok but I’ve never been convinced that the clowns in the bunker are much chop

Could sort of tell 20 minutes in we didn’t have it, just falling off tackles, allowing off loads, going nowhere in attack.

We’ve scored tries all year from our own half but didn’t even try it last night, strangely subdued game by Hughes and Munster. I don’t get how we didn’t go to Katoa, Meaney, Warbrick more.

Just seemed content to ruck up five and kick it. Zero dare, zero flair, zero attack. Even when we knew we needed points it was just monotonously the same thing over and over. High kick, let Edwards make 25 meters then we’re back under pressure again.

Kamikamica and Welsh are at the back end, Tui didn’t even come back on after the first 15 minutes, they provided no go forward last night. Loiero and King both 80 minute players needed to have breaks. We sorely missed NAS, him and Utoikamanu working in tandem next year is going to be nice to watch.

Howarth was probably a try, Penrith’s first try came off a “six again” when Klein said Hughes touched the ball (but he didn’t), Sorensons foot was in the air when he caught the ball and then took it out. They’re all calls that just never seem to go against Penrith. Sort of feels like watching Hawthorn from 2012-2017. Seemingly everything will go their way every game. They’re hard enough to beat as it is, but when they get every 50/50 their way it’s impossible.

Overall a pretty puzzling game, I think Penrith suffocated and stifled most of what we were trying to do but boy we weren’t trying much.

Unlike almost every other year, we’re hardly losing anyone to other sides so they could very well come back next year and do an Essendon 2000s like run on the competition.

On to 2025.

They belted us in the last twenty minutes of the first half, but if we’d held on for two more minutes we’d have gone into half time in front.

Lots of little moments.
