Before my time regrettably.

Fletcher, Wallis and Heppell the only 100-gamers in my time.

But EFC history goes 87 years before “my time”. And player numbers 46 years.

I’m not sure why, but this feels right to me

Please give us a decent 25! Hard to believe it’s been a disaster since Lucas retired.

A reflection on number 5.

Brent Stanton started with number 34 in 2004, wore 24 in 2005, 06 & 07 and took on #5 in 2007.

I don’t mind too much the idea of number 5 going to Heppell.

Otherwise give it a rest until the heir becomes apparent.

#3 and #11, and #24 in the “champions of Essendon” - and that’s not including a 150 gamer, and a 250 gamer.

I think you’re off base. Cast your mind back to the shitfight when Hird gave it to Stanton, compared to the uproar when A Lee got 32 or S Gumbleron got 3. No comparison. From the start of Sheedy’s tenure, it’s the most famous number. Only 4 comes close, and that’s had about twice as many occupants over the same timeframe.

You DID see Bomb Doe’s post, right?

As I expected, they take notice of me and give Clarke #5.

I don’t really see how/why Stewart needs a number change

There is no logic in most of the posts in this thread
