And that NBN ad was the final straw.

Well said.
No where near enough credit given to a
desperate opposition.
Neverthelessendon, well off tonight.

Actually, it does!

It sends the signal that all is well, we are happy with your performance, you can relax now. Take a vacation in WA to celebrate.

I didn’t want to believe it but yeah, the evidence is mounting. Could barely turn or get out of first gear tonight.

Glad we threw him on ball in the last four minutes to help him work into the game… great work Woosha… how about doing that when it might have actually farking mattered?!! TBF… he looked alright in the ruck, but the heat was out of the game so tough to know.

Freo were also scragging a heap without a single whistle. Still, I wouldn’t be surprised if we find Joey is carrying an injury.

I was expecting this type of performance… because we seen the exact same thing last week. The only difference was that we had a 15 minute period where we dominated.

You can’t expect to rock up for 15 minutes and win games of football.

Now that we lost, people are up in arms. Yet last week they were glossing over the performance because we won.

Mitch Brown spoiled his teammates more often than he did his opponent. I’m not his biggest fan.

Very average and infuriating given its familiarity. Dockers played well and are going to beat plenty of teams this year with Fyfe, Walters, Hills in the guts and then Ryan, Wilson an co across half-back who are very strong players.

Our ball handling cost us hugely all night, at least three missed defensive marks that you’d expect to be swallowed up lead to direct goals (Hurley, Heppell, and I’ll count the opener where Dea spoiled Hartley to get to three), and when the game was in the balance we had a team-wide attack of the fumbles. Poor and should be better, but again, pressure plays a part and Freo did what they had to.

Hesitant to describe it as a wake-up call because we’ve seen it all before.

Positives are that Daniher could not play any worse, and his poor start to the year comes from trying to be a show-pony, playing for frees, and seemingly not focusing. He was insipid tonight and should respond strongly after that sort of embarrassment, though think he should have been thrown into the ruck an hour before he eventually was because it started to get him into the game.

Devon Smith was absolutely immense, worked his ā– ā– ā– ā–  off and can hold his head high. Heppell okay, Bellchambers fought very well I thought, McKenna and Saad mostly solid. Plenty of improvements in all others.

The likes of Langford, McGrath and Parish all a bit stunned but should be better for the run. Beat the Dogs, beat the Power, beat the Pies. 4-1 after ANZAC Day. We’ll know a bit more then before the season really starts.

If you’re in Perth, go and get absolutely blind and never think about it again.

Riiiiigghhhttt.

See this where I disagree - we should get more out of these guys when we’re struggling in the middle. Dont people always crap on about needing tall kpf to kick to when the pressure is high. Otherwise lets not bother with the kpf and just play like richmond.

performances like that really make you wonder what the club is even trying to achieve in training? because there was no structure at all

Got spanked in the midfield and off our half forward line. Very poor defensive running by the majority.

Watching on tv I am sure hid some of the worst efforts.

I think Saad and McKenna will make a good combination.

When we look like losing, he always seems to go for that kick. Almost like he wants to setup the sealer.

Essendon’s mega star forward is a pale imitation of the bloke who tore up the comp last year. He’s averaging same disposals but he’s hand balling more (which he’s really poor at). In 2017 disposal efficiency was 65%. Round 1 against Adelaide, 46%. Tonight 35%. Something is seriously wrong with the bloke.

I wonder if Mitch Brown has ever considered a career in boot studding…

Hopefully

At least he is trying to do something instead of just kicking it long down the line to an out numbered forward.

If we had answers, Lyon wouldn’t have put on a masterclass.

people crap on about that’s why hooker is down there, so they can bomb it long to him.

yet again when it doesn’t work, they have no other way of being able to play. again such an obtuse way to play a game, cos once that avenue is curtailed, they have nothing.

I’m going to assume this is James Hird’s fault.

Hard to have structure when our skill level was atrocious. I’d like to think that was due to Freo’s pressure…and then I remember last week’s unforced errors.
