Yes he did. Teal had a bit of following/rep for his reading of poetry, and he was very good based on the few l have heard.
Still love Dads Army, winning on the Home Front despite Arthur Lowe.
I have seen a dozen episodes of this one, and still waiting for the funny parts to arrive.
This is the gist of a lot of good comedy.
The Plank. I watched it again recently on You Tube, l hadnât seen it for 50 or more years. It is excellent.
Someone posted it on this thread
So you watched 2 full seasons of a show you didnât like? Thatâs an odd choice, probably should have tapped out earlier.

Norm McDonald. The comedianâs comedian. He was great.
Mother & Son is probably my favourite Ozzie comedy. The chemistry between McDonald and Cracknell is fantastic. Going back a long way l didnât mind Kingswood Country, mostly because the main character was such a loser, much of the time it was cringey, and racist. I probably couldnât watch it these days without turning it off.
Do you dance yet ?

Any clip of him on Conan is a guaranteed hit
McDonald as Gunston asked the best question l have ever heard at press conference. This one was for Guns ânâ Roses when they were touring. He asked: âWhere did you get the name, Gunston Roses?â The band cracked up so hard that it effectively ended the press conference.

Women allowed to talk about sex like men always were between themselves
LOL, not in the ALP SL in the 1970s; those Leftie woman loved to shock beardless teenagers,

Married with Children definitely underrated.
Married With Children went through 3 distinct phases.
The first was relatively staid.
The middle one (and the one that people fondly remember) had Al as the sexist, fattist, MCP, Peg as a lazy housewife, Kelly as a bit free with her favours and rather dim and Bud not yet the cretin of the last series. Alâs treatment of his scrawny neighbour was fairly cruel, but she was a stuck-up fool.
The third, probably the last series, was utter crap.

Iâd put The Two Ronnies into the underrated category. Itâs usually thought of as just another Brit sketch show. It was a sketch show, but it was full of brilliant lines. Impossible to watch without laughing the whole way through.
I particularly liked their ongoing PI series inserted in the middle, featuring Piggy Malone and Charlie Farley. I would have loved to see a complete movie of that series. Barker in particularly was brilliant with eye rolling and gum chewing.
CJ, are you mistaking Norm McDonald (the American comedian) for Gary McDonald (Norman Gunston)?
Yep. Looks like l have quoted from the wrong post.

Last Man on Earth was bloody good imo. Spewing they never got to finish the story.
Will Forte is a comedy god.
Absolutely loathed Will Forteâs character.
Could have had anything he wanted, but just had to be a scheming, lying POS.

As is Becker- Ted Danson is sooooo good in that
Has anyone put in a vote for Cheeers? If not l will. The episode for Woodyâs wedding was tremendously funny.

Itâs Antony Jay, just for accuracy. And what is a Senior Minister? As in, a politician? Coz Iâm fairly sure he never was. But he did write speeches for pollies iirc. Edit - or one of them did. Maybe it was Lynn.
Jonathan Lynn was in some of those early Doctor series with Barry Evans, Richard OâSullivan, George Layton and Martin Shaw (?), and that memorable series with the gorgeous Madeline Smith as Arthur Loweâs daughter at a GPâs.

Alâs treatment of his scrawny neighbour was fairly cruel, but she was a stuck-up fool.
IIRC she made big news when she came out towards the end of MWC
