Bundie ginger beer is good. And its iconically Aussie.
The above also contain an undocumented mix of peptides.
I started buying the Schweppes lime soda water but it has sugar in it… so now I dilute it with regular soda water.
Also good with vodka.
Underrated: L&P from New Zealand
Overrated: Any post mix
It’s farking disgusting!
Chinotto on the other hand is wonderful
Passiona✅️
Sarsaparilla is not disgusting. If it keeps away plebs like you, there’s a benefit.
Chinotto, Limonata, Aranciana…all great.
Coke Zero
Raspberry Fanta
Ginger Beer
All v good
I remember as a little kid my parents used to preorder Slades soft drink delivery. I used to be so excited when the box arrived, but also knew in every box there was at least one damn bottle of Sarsaparilla which I’d get confused with cola!
I still recall it tasted like 80’s medicine.
Overrated : not just the drink, but actual people who drink Monster energy and any of the no sugar variants of soft drinks.
Kombucha. WTF?
Underrated:
Bondi Junction Cola - I think it was a ginseng based cola, might’ve had a tram on the label, back in the early 90s maybe late 80s.
Tarax black label - king of lemonades, just the right amount of everything.
Canada Dry - ginger, but not sweet.
As others have said, these ones are great for sipping:
Sarsaparilla
Chinoto
Overrated: Sugary soft drinks.
Underrated: Water
Loys crate.
Apologies but Sarsaparilla was my go to before bullant hunting. Glenhuntly.
LA ice only
Thread is definitely a repeat, because I know I posted this, or a better version.
But anyway….
Under-rated: Solo from a can after a hard summer day’s labour. Unbeatable.
Also a fan of Cherry Coke.
Over-rated: All Pepsi.
The appropriate response to ‘is Pepsi okay’ is a disappointed groan.
Edit: Mrs Wim alleges Pasito is over-rated. I do not concur.
About the only soft drink I will buy these days
Anecdote:
Fanta Friday is a phrase in the LMW lexicon.
We didn’t have soft drink in the house. No judgement, just how we rolled.
But a young girl deserves a treat at the end of a hard week at school, so while it wasn’t always Fanta, it was always a Fanta Friday.
Which somewhat distracted from the six pack I picked up for myself.
Down in Tassie we used to down a litre of the good old Abbotts after a hard summer day’s labour not this 200 ml girly stuff
