may as well start the lost item claim process now

I use one call trans direct. really good really cheap. BUT when one goes missing its a nightmare. Hard to contact, then they ask you to describe he box. I think from now on Im going to piant a pink or orange X on the box , At least this way when some nuffie stroeman has to go look for it he or she wont have to think walk and breathe at the same time

Distribution centre

I see USPS has suspended all deliveries to Australia from the US

Cotton On distribution centre at Avalon listed as Tier 1 exposure site over a few days.

Wife orders some chocolates for the kids (Yowie Bites) from a confectionery shop in Ascot Vale at the start of Vic school holidays… still sitting in Aus Post distribution joint…

It was supposed to be delivered last week.

There are several warehouses dotted around the country that have recently been leased and are full of freight.
Backlog currently of about 16 days. Will be out to 5 weeks before the end of October on current trajectory

Shouldn’t have sacked Holgate, scomo

New boss is doing a better job.
30% up on peak freight volume with some states 40% up

i have 1 been in transit for a month melbourne sydney another 3 weeks on the same route got one from USa in 9 days though!

Had 1 make it Mooroolbark (outer east) to Derrimut DC (outer northwest) in a day

4 days and counting to get from Derrimut to Manor Lakes (3 suburbs away)

I’ve had a few like that as well.
Had parcels coming from Launceston and Richmond going to Croydon be received by AusPost on the same day.
Parcel from Tas won by 2 days.
(Should add that this isn’t a dig - just find it amusing!)

Yeah, i had a package from the USA arrive after 3 weeks transit time this week, while another one (from Port Melbourne) took nearly 4. It seems to be the luck of the draw right now. It’s not like EVERYTHING is getting delayed, it’s more that some things are getting delayed a lot.

Luck of the draw definitely plays a part but you are more likely currently to see delays in local deliveries than from interstate and even overseas deliveries currently as bizarre as that sounds

There’s an awesome cookie company which I wanted to use to send a birthday surprise to a friend. They’ve had to stop shipping product because of AP delays. What used to be a viable shipping option is now more harm than good.

So that one business has lost a huge amount of sales. I’m sure that will add up nationally.

Nespresso order placed yesterday. Pods delivered today. Yay for coffee! :coffee:

Plenty of Nespresso compatible on Woolworth shelves if you run short.

Yes, the most important things arrive on time!
A fair chunk of the Nespresso order comes through the Premium channel so has a really good strike rate for delivery
