Past Blitzers

I think it was borderline.

Having said this, there are still posters active on here who thought that having a stylised Hitler as their avatar was acceptable.

I don’t think Nino could ever be that farked in the head.

I’m not here to laud moderators, but it must be a pretty wretched task monitoring and rectifying all the negative, repetitive, abusive, hysterical nonsense that so often diminishes threads. Hope they get paid well!
Recidivists must be especially irritating.

The sole payment is being able to post more than three times in a row in the VFLW threads.

The world is currently an angry place. Politics everywhere is toxic, and sport is not much better. Perhaps we suffer further because of the poor performance of our footy team as well which is frustrating.

General consensus from those who are smarter than me is that One Nation is more popular because so many people are angry, frustrated, feel ignored and struggling financially, so they just want to burn the place down.

Nino always seemed harmless to me, his posts were not toxic and while I didn’t see his alleged racist post, possibly just an error in logic and context on his part.

My observations are that all social media is getting nastier and nastier, and as someone who has been nasty to others on BBlitz, I apologise and will try harder to be respectful and constructive. Even to Mapo and Bill.

yep - he wears his Essendon heart on his sleeve and finds it hard to keep his emotions in check.

All/most would have written stuff here that is dumb, rubbish and/or cringy.

To me, nino is an easy target because he doesn’t bite back or looks to start a fight.

In the end we’re all made up avatars and none of this is real.

The Book of Nino, Chapter 3

  1. And it came to pass that the angel Nino spread forth his wings and ascended into the heavens with great boldness.

  2. Yet in the pride of his flight he drew too near unto the Moderator Sun, whose burning light no wing of feather could endure.

  3. And the fire of that great light consumed his wings, and Nino fell from the heights unto the earth.

  4. Then a multitude gathered round about him, and their faces were filled with wrath.

  5. They cried aloud, saying, “Nino, thou fool! Thy folly hath brought thee low.”

  6. And they remembered his coming into the VFL match day threads, and every grievance they had kept within their hearts was stirred anew.

  7. Their voices rose as the sound of many waters, and their anger was kindled.

  8. But from among the crowd there arose some who lifted up their voices, saying, “Have ye lost your hearts and your kindness? Be ashamed of this hardness within you.”

  9. And for a moment the multitude hesitated, and silence fell upon them like the evening dew.

  10. Yet many hardened their hearts once more, and they returned to striking Nino as he lay upon the ground.

  11. Therefore let every soul take heed, for pride bringeth low the mighty, and wrath, when it ruleth the heart, consumeth both the innocent and the guilty alike.

  12. Blessed is the one who chooseth mercy over vengeance, for compassion endureth when anger hath faded away.
