We got feedback from the owners last night. He arrived in Cairns around 11.30 AM. They were very happy with the condition of the cat, he had actually put on a little weight while he was with us. They were not so happy with the condition of their dog, which was staying with their daughter around the corner. The dog was skinny and the coat looked ragged. All is well that ends well, or some such.
Well, there is fur and antlers in this clip
Awesome!!
Me and my bats, TV stars! (Well, I get to say one sentence and they’re all fkg dead or dying, so celebrity ain’t what it cracked up to be…)
My King Parrot can shitt Rainbows. What can yours do???
Found this interesting.
First sighting, not sure yet if anyone else is under there.
Same tree, same nest and same tawny…sort of. You see all these years I have referred to the sitter as Mum but someone we know, who should know, reckons if the tawny is on the nest during the day it’s a male, and that sometimes they swap duties at night but mostly Dad does the sitting.
Go figure!
This poor, large eastern brown had been attacked by a couple of dogs so was very flighty and defensive.
Unfortunately it had to be put down due to its injuries.
The dogs were vet checked and cleared.
I’ve always read that cats use whiskers to gauge the size of gaps they’re about to walk through, and they help them determine whether or not they’ll fit. I’m sure that’s not the only use, but it helps explain their size.
My horse used to feel the electric fence tape with his whiskers- if it was off he’d pluck it with his teeth.
Yeah that’s true. Funny little buggers!
Mine has made a habit of lying on my notepad during meetings!
They’re just making sure they’re not ignored.
Do their whiskers get longer if they get fatter?
Not a cat person at all.
That is a beautiful cat though.
I don’t think the whiskers necessarily “match” body width. I think it’s more that they give the cat a quick reference as to how wide any gap they put their head through is, which they can then translate to how well they will fit.
