Pell and other allegations

I know journalism is in the gutter, and the Strayan is particularly odious, but I’m still taken aback at that actually getting printed at all, let alone front paged.

Not even attempting to maintain even a thin veneer of integrity.

Delusional claptrap garbage to soften the image of a pedophile. Disgusting, I wouldn’t even use that ‘newspaper’ to make Powersauce bars.

A hotel in Melbourne has cancelled an event to commemorate Pell.

Haha yeah and no doubt gossiped backstabbed etc all behind their backs.

Our local church/school, priest was an absolute arrogant prick. Also turned out to be a ■■■■■■■ nonce as well.

Was it THE ROYAL?

St. George Pell, eh ? It’ll be St. Gerald Ridsdale next.

I see it as the Aus attempting to ignite some sort of woke-culture-war to give them an influence on the election, when they have become completely irrelevant.

Next step, H-S journos questioning government MPs on it looking for a “gotcha”

The mindset these “journos” must have to print this, let alone on the front page… unbelievable.

Nah, it’s their constituents pushing for his sainthood.

There are memorial services scheduled for the paedophilia death anniversary in Melbourne and Sydney, and you can donate cash.

The Melbourne hotel has cancelled their one (not THE ROYAL) and both are showing as TBC. There is a reddit thread by someone who was trying to get it cancelled.

No idea why they can’t hold it in a farkin church.

It’s the church doing what churches do.

“Venue to be announced” is code for “this won’t happen, but give us your money anyway”.

Also,
Upon looking at the author of the article, it’s the same person who is speaking at the events

What a disgraceful pedo enabling rag the Australian is.

People trying to get it cancelled is exactly what they want. Either free publicity (pushing donations), or to ratchet up the culture wars.

I never saw a kids playground at The Royal.

One thing always gets me is the assertion that praying to person X “caused the miracle”.

Even if you believe this fanciful garbage, why would a septic pray to an Australian person?

Same as Mary McKillop. She wasn’t even a saint at the time.

It’s all propaganda anyway.

Try the 1940’s as a little girl from a ….broken home….sent to a Catholic school, told by nuns over and over that she was in a state of mortal sin… causing years of frightened nightmares, about going to hell….
…other students told by their lovely catholic parents not to mix with her…. 8 years of that. O yes the wondrous catholic state of mind.

Or a priest telling a child that the agnostic father was a bad man. Worse, that it was wrong to barrack for Essendon because it was anti Catholic.

Which was an utter lie. Essendon was founded by Presbyterians, but it has always had a good proportion of RCs among its members AND players. You can bet that the priest who said Essendon was “anti-Catholic” was a dentally-challenged Collingwood member.

If prayer actually worked then Essendon would have won premierships over the past 20 years.

Maybe the deity those prayers are aimed at is a secret member of the AFL Hierarchy.

Stop praying you idiots!!!
