The most frustrating thing about blokes like wright and weideman are their lack of effort… if you are their size in the AFL you could seriously get a game every week if you were willing to hit 4-5 packs with your knee up and make a contest, yet they can’t seem to ever do it… bizarre

I was at the game and saw him live. It was frightening how bad he was ….reminded me of the space cadet from the movie The Coach
Does not get much support= watch how they block for Curnow and McKay
It is something above the shoulders!
Lots of AFL players survive purely because of their size.
Problem is we have no one in our orward line to block for anyone. It only happens in our back line.

Curnow and McKay can take contested grabs, but 2MP can’t, that has nothing to do with blocks being put on.

Collingwood won one with Brodie Miocek.
We need someone who can take a contested Mark badly, if we can find that player I think Wright can contribute in other ways.
The way he is playing makes me think we’d get more from Rory Lobb as a genuine For/Ruck, which is scaring me

Weideman is not better than anyone.
I can’t believe it hasn’t been said. He’s not actually trying to mark it… Can anyone else see this? He gets two hands to it its like he’s slapping it to ground. I’m not sure what he’s trying to do.

Was better in the ruck than forward last night.
But honestly, we cant persist with a FF who cant take a mark. Very badly out of form.
Forwadline was very very poor last night. It’s clearly the area that needs addressing via the off season.
He’s easily the most infuriating player on the list. He should be farking embarrassed with the efforts he puts in.

We were a better team without him. Senior players don’t get dropped at Essendon, but if they did, he’d deserve a run in the 2s.

Even tall forwards still need to jump. Or lead out. We needed him last night, and when it was clear carlton had him covered in packs, he needed to get mobile. Disappointing.

On form last night Weed may have been better and that’s just a reality check on 2CMP - he was absolute garbage
