AFL has set a precedent the SSP cut off isn’t real. However, the season has started. I don’t see them allowing it.

Give the last list spot to Edwards only to pick up Baldwin a few weeks later? I don’t see the point. Baldwin had his chance and wasn’t good enough in the end to keep on the list we need to move past him

If 2MP’s injury is a long termer, which it looks like, I think it shuffles Tom Edwards up the depth chart and makes his acquisition a smart one.

Of course Edwards isn’t a genuine KPP or ruck chop out but he at least provides some strong aerial ability in the forward line whereby if we did suffer an injury to one of the two rucks (Draper or Bryan), Edwards can come in as a medium forward and Jones can be the fwd/relief ruck. I’d rather this than Goldy coming in for instance.

Nonetheless, he is great depth if 1 of the Rucks misses.
We are now committed to this 2 Ruck plan, and Jones then becomes important if anything happens to one of our forward talls.
