I don’t think so, if caddy comes out and kicks 30 goals in his second year most on here will be creaming themselves
He will kick 30 goals for EFC in 2025 … in the VFL
If he plays all season in the VFL he should be kicking many more than that, somewhere around 60 goals for the season.
2010 Harley Bennell bust
2012 Johnanthon O’Rourke bust
Jimmy Toumpas bust
2014 Paddy Mccartin bust
Along with “It’s the club’s fault that he cant hold a mark, by not challenging his suspension”.
Surely there’s a statute of limitations where it’s not applicable after 12 months?
I was specifically talking about key forwards but sure why not
He isn’t the star we thought he might be, but I think he’s perfectly capable as that 3rd tall / second ruck role.
11 disposals, 1.4 goals and 9 hit outs a game last year ain’t bad at all.
Similar stats (if not better) than Amartey, Riccardi, Neale, etc
“We are so grateful that you gave us weid, we’d like to return the favor”
I’m happy for him to come in to replace Bryan against WC, provided it’ll be dry conditions. I actually think he can be useful around the ground when he plays as the relief ruck as he can use his marking power and uses the ball quite well by hand and foot. As a forward I reckon his size alone will help take some pressure off Caddy.
At the very least Wright coming in means we won’t play Goldstein.
2MPs thread here is a bit like wandering into an old Valhalla cinema that closed a year or two ago. Once endowed with excitement, lush wooden furniture and velvet curtains. But nowadays super quiet. A sort of forgotten gem … ageing quietly away.
We need you back and firing big Pete. We’re losing forwards and big men down like ninepins recently. Remind us of those glory 2022 days again, say like this AZ Day. Now that’d be nice.
I hope he sees this.
For one thing, it would mean that his eyes were open.
The optimist in me really wants this guy to get a chance. I still think at his best he’s the type of player we need – he can lead up at the footy, he’s a great kick for goal, he’s big enough to be a deep forward target that brings the ball to ground, and he’s capable enough in the ruck to be a solid chop out. He just didn’t do much of that last year…
Personally, I wasn’t sold on the Bryan/Draper model, and am even less sold on a Goldstein/Draper model. Draper gives a great contest deep forward, but when he’s down there, I think it enables the long bomb too much, and our forward line too often loses shape through lack of movement among the talls. To me, Draper’s the best ruckman we have – he’s just not a ruck all game option.
The numbers suggest it, but even the eye test on this video shows that he was marking so much better that year than what he has since the shoulder injury.
He’s such an incredible set shot, you just hope he can get his marking back to this level to accompany it.
Also, at 8.51… Snelling doesn’t make the distance from 30m out.
Never been the same since he was rubbed out because he contested a mark. I feel like it cost him his confidence and he second guesses himself now when he contests the ball.
So much better. His hands (shoulder) are nowhere near that strong now
Is he on the plane?
I reckon the biggest problem with Wright is he never had an elite crumber at his feet. He drops plenty of marks front and square in dangerous spots. Time for Kako to do his thing.
He’s in
Get the dog in ya Pete!
