If I owned a Nikon ZF I’d buy the 512 and leave it permanently in the cameras second slot. Half a gig of internal memory for redundancy.
I have 3TB of cards for my next holidays Two in camera, one off camera for backup plus online storage nightly. Paranoid…
Gosh !!
Two months of travel though.
I’ve often considered one of those clever SSD portable devices for on-the-go storage / backup but never got around to buying one.
I’ve looked at those as well and for bang per $ and weight considerations nothing beats sd cards for storage. If you were full on editing on the road, then i’d consider external ssd.
I had one (spinning rust version) in 2006 but filled it and my cards (32G) on the second last day of 42 and had to buy an extra card.
Luckily, I was in Hong Kong.
Nowadays I have a one-terabyte phone…
I have had no luck with portable HDD. Didn’t matter the brand or size. All have failed.
Also ‘owwww look at me and my 1tb phone’
"Suicide Savages Surf movies "
there was a group who surfed at Point Leo in the early sixties at a place called Suicide Point and they were pretty Savage. Was probably named as it was Suicide to surf there. You were told to F,Off to your face ,threw large rocks as you walked to the beach and then one night there was a knock at the front door and here is on of the savages inhis club jacket and asked me if i would be interested in joining the club. I shat my pants and mumbled yes as soon as h left I raced over to my mates place and told him. The next evening he raced into our place and said he had also been asked to join. And thats when things got interesting for a young man and his best mate. The movies were on Standard 8 film and loaded up to DVD ,Shots of Bells Beach 1963 ,World titles Manly 1964 heere is a screen grab Mike Doyle and Linda Benson both from California
