Photos you‘ve taken

Coldblood and Bomber3232 all well, despite the evacuation. Hopefully he puts a few pictures up in the next couple of days once the Internet is back on. Might be some great atmospherics with all the smoke in the air.

Pretty insane couple of hours.

Very happy to hear you are all ok.

Im well.photos to come .Now back to the Saga page for a quick update.
Only joking. …

This novice has a question about lenses. Basically, I was considering getting a prime lens, as after doing a bit of reading I’ve discovered they’re very good for night and low light photography, as well as relatively inexpensive. Upon looking at my “best” (lolz) photos however, I’ve noticed I tend to shoot at either the 18 or approximately 45 mm mark. Would something like a 50 mm 1.8 be a good idea? Just thinking that zoom length would restrict what I tend to use when I’ve done some street photography, which if I were to do at night would possibly become more difficult.

just go out and shoot without zooming set aperture at F8 or F9 for day time .
for street photography at nighttime set your TV setting speed to 1/125 set your ISO to 1600 maybe turn on Black and white filter shoot in Jpeg not raw so that you can shoot up to 20 shots at a time maybe move to manual focus .let the camera do the rest and keep trying some will come out great some will be crap enjoy yourself

Given that most 50mm 1.8’s are cheap, i’d definitely recommend picking one up. (If you were looking at a sigma 50mm 1.4, different story. Serious investment that one). Yep, they can be restrictive at times (by their nature all primes can be) but the light gathering ability of 1.8 is very useful and the focal length is very versatile, from landscapes to portraits to , yes, street photography. If you are shooting with a tripod at night, the bigger aperture isnt as needed.

Thanks for the advice guys, I’ll look into it.

Here ya go.

If I’m not mistaken, published online in the Oz, HS and Gellong advertiser.

obligatory season shot before dismantling the tree.

So i just had a near miss- a VERY near miss - with this little ■■■■■■■…

Ban, now.

Spiders are cool. Actually thought I saw a snake at work yesterday. It was just a blue-tongue, but as I only saw the tail I assumed the worse. The other lady I was working with shat her dacks and bolted. Was quite funny, she wasn’t too happy with me

Ban, now.

Why? It’s red and black, what’s not to like?

Friend of mine is working at Ararat. No-one lunches outside because of the snakes.

One of her colleagues got bitten by a tiger and spent a while up on blocks.
