I did Coffs Harbour to Melbourne pretty easy once as well. Everyone is different but it started early morning and home around midnight. Shouldn’t be too hard after a good nights sleep.
Yeah, just me and the dog. I left late one night, slept at Ayr in the car, then Miles, then just got on a role.
Also did Hamilton to Gold Coast straight. Had a mate with me, let him drive for 3-4 hours, woke up with two tyres on the dirt and never let him drive again 
Put shortest route to get to Surfers, ended up crossing a gated creek along the way
Thanks again to all. Took the Beechworth option, nice place to stay, checked out the falls nearby and made my way to melb, home now after a crazy few days…4 hours on plane, 2000 odd KMs over 2 n a half days and then 11 odd hours on the boat
