Positives

Crap day but did think there were some good signs:

- Thought Ryder was fantastic at the clearances. Was winning taps, putting them into dangerous spots and following up his work as well.

- Nothing went Jobe's way but instead of sooking like Cotchin he did the hard stuff. Head over the footy and laying some tough bumps. True Captain.

- Stanton worked really hard all game. He's an outside player but he's a good one.

- The Merret brothers are clean. Really like Jackson, has a bit of Caracella about him.

- At our best we can compete with anyone.

- You don't win Premierships in April. Us of all clubs should know this.

- Just to open a massive can of worms - Carlisle worked much harder today. Everything went wrong for him but he worked hard. Keeping working and things will turn.

Howlett played a great game too.

Not been kicked out of the cricketers arms yet

Thought Hooker and Hurley worked well in tandem.

agree with all of that, spot on. glad someone else thought carlisle had a crack today despite playing in a 2 on 1 for most of the last 3 quarters.

Still can slot Bellchambers, Goddard, Hocking and Myers into that midfield.  We're not too far away.  The next two against the Dogs and Lions are winnable. 4-4 after 8 isn't a bad position to be in at all.  We've had a tough start, but we're building.

Dons actually more effective disposals, more contested marks, more marks inside 50, 10 more clearances

We will rise.

6-2 would be better, leading up to a 16-7 finish. I would just like one year where most things go right for us.

We are capable but not of stringing together four qtrs.

Quarters 1, 3 and 4.

Keeping them to 83 points despite some junktime goals by them because of our desperation to get back. (it could have been kept lower)

Our first quarters have been pretty good this year.

Positives: we still have ASADA on the backburner waiting to get us angry and distract us from, you know, the football stuff...
