Looked to me Brisbane were only in top gear for the first 6-7 mins of each half. Then cruised in third gear for the rest.

We were quite competitive, it was watchable at least.
The skill and experience gap is insane between us and Brisbane, at the opposite ends. Top 2 team who won the last two premierships vs bottom 2 team with 12 players under 33 games.
Wright was great, so was Duz and Robey had a good crack. Sharp looks like he has that foresight in contests that all good midfielders have, excited to watch him grow
Feel like our skills, especially our handballs let us down a lot and stopped a lot of our chains. Also our set shots we should have kicked were costly misses.

Lions barely moved out of 4th gear, only doing so for about 10 mins in the 3rd.
You give Brisbane time and space they slice you up and that’s what we did
The game was over half way through the first quarter.

One more I will mention is Sullivan Robey. 17 possessions and a goal but the biggest thing I take from it is 11 of those possessions were contested. Keep playing him.

Brisbane are only not happy it got out because some of the stuff on there was not appropriate i.e naming Priors partner as his only strength.

The AFL are only interested in growing the game in the northern states. That’s why they deferred butchering the father/son rule until the lions got the Ashcroft bros. Off b2b flags they got one of the best young players in the draft, and were able to poach Allen and Draper.

ffs FN. No selection integrity, playing out of position, LACK OF CLEAR GAME PLANS no wonder players are not performing to their best. Brad Scott has to go. The way I see it, we still need closure over the whole saga and the only way is to bring Hird in as caretaker for the rest of the year (for free). That way we either put it to bed forever or bring the passion back
