My thoughts on today after watching from level 3.
There’s a huge divide in the playing group and its becoming dead obvious
Langford especially will only give the ball to certain players, ignore leads with guys in the clear.
At quarter time after the senior players had stunk it up a few were having animated words with the young guys on the way in.
Reid and the backline have no chance when there is not one ounce of pressure up the ground..
Brisbane played the chip game we used against Melbourne and the Suns and totally dismantled us . Why we abandoned it only the shizhen coach knows .
The good
Caddy - didnt kick as straight as he could but there is a huge game around the corner
Robey - leave him in the guts for as long as possible
Sharp - see robey
Wright, - was really good today .

As far as the forward line in concerned we have turned Gerreyn into a backman to accommodate Edwards, McMahon, Cox thats is exactly why we are crap.
However Gerreyn has to come.in for McKay no matter what. McKay couldn’t even play longwarry 2s and do the right thing.
THE SENIOR PLAYERS
High tackle counts against Melbourne and GC are what kept us competitive. 72 against GC, they can pull.that out when being the worst essendon team in history is on the line.
Until the cancers are cut out and that means trading , Langford , Merrett,Caldwell, McKay, Redman, McGrath, Parish this club is doomed .
They just will not work hard enough unless they choose to. The down tools brigade is back in full force .

So I was at the game. It was so weird. Felt like going to the movies. No one really cared, a few claps here and there but, generally, the level of investment was about as low form the crowd as it was from the players.
Such a low intensity game. They were continually able to hit up passes to free players in the middle - how they did that with 18 Essendon players behind the ball, I’ll never know. But this is Brad Scott’s world and we are just living in it.
Positives: one day closer to Brad getting sacked.

Young players are very encouraging - Caddy, Sharp, Robey, Farrow, Nguyen. There’s some decent promise there.
Durham had a crack, and Wright was excellent.
But, most of the senior players have either lost form or dropped off altogether. It doesnt seem a united group.
Reid is a shadow of what he was, and while it was good to see Cox back, I expect him to be gone at the end of the year.
Don’t see the point of Gresham. At this point of the season, I think we should be prioritising development. He’s not part of it, and McKay is so abject now that he must be given a rest.
It wont happen, because Scott, but it’s overdue we started dropping some of the protected species. I think the Brisbane whiteboard was on the money - and everyone can see it but Scott. If you’re not adding anything, and you’re not part of the future, then out.
That describes Scott also.

Yep, someone who can go with the basic of plans, make it fun but hold the players shyte to account i.e. not attached to their gorf favs, send the ‘big names’ to the vfl to acquaint themselves with their future

Went to the game. Pretty expected result, Brisso way too talented and organised. It is was it is. Robey and Sharp were ok at times, the other young uns struggled a bit. Big Pete was great, Duzz best game for year, Merrett good as `the game went on, but appeared to be missing early. Caddy, well if he’s playing for Brisso he’s a star. Would help greatly if he and others got shot more centrally. Maybe useful to remember that’s what Lions did to Cats in the granny, and largely to Crows last week. We just need more talent
