I don’t really get the Solomon criticism, does anyone think that he’s not trying to get the wooden spoon and get as many games into the kids as possible?

They will be tired tomorrow because the the thing about rust is it never sleeps.

There are some players on our list you don’t realise they jog out for a game or not to be fair.

Some good, mostly horrible. Could drop so many.
Time to go and sink 20 beers on the golf course and pretend that match didn’t happen.
we desperately need Butler and HVH! AFL help us we are so bad

Not as bad as I thought, me and the great man @stander2 will dissect the game over a glass of red or two. Stick tight faithful, good times are just around the corner. Can sense the doomers starting to panic a bit
Go bombers clap clap clap

I don’t think Solomon should be our first choice for our head coach - I don’t think that’s an unreasonable position to take.
Even if you assume he’s tanking for the first pick

Overall, a good result. Yes, it’s frustrating watching us lose every week but we need pick 1.

That’s a tad dramatic.
Our front 6 players just don’t move enough. Lead into space and this creates space behind you. Have a player lead to a dead pocket to take a defender with them etc etc. It’s really quite simple but they just don’t do it.
Our midfield still don’t run both ways and even I could shrug off a tackle from Merrett.
The senior players are not leading by example and need to be moved on (Merrett, Parish, Perkins as starting points).

Happy with the young kids, they’re coming along nicely. Senior players can see themselves out at season’s end. Will gladly lose every game for the rest of the year and secure pick 1.

My favourite part of today was, like a couple of weeks back, when it got close at the end we had Merrett back on the ball.
“Ok blokes, thanks for keeping us in it as we persevere and develop a new structure, but now there’s potential glory on the line we just don’t rate you”.
Pathetic messaging.
And it doesn’t work.

Maybe that’s why he’s interim

I think the midfield do run both ways. It is just that they are SO SLOW!

How good is the pakenham line. Last couple years caught the train about 20 times to the city and I reckon 18 of those buses have been replacing trains. What a crock of ■■■■. Stuck in a bus from glenwaverley line back to pakenham line. Fark Carlton, Fark the Essendon senior players, Fark essington and Fark the shithole Victoria has become. Apart from all that I’m pretty happy.

With some coaching changes and player changes / recruiting, these issues can be fixed.
Important we trade out merrett, ridley parish and caldwell.may get 2 1st and 2 seconds could be another 6 or so we could delist. We need to get ruthless. Target a few out of Contract a graders and free agents simple stuff money talks .. The crop wr have ain’t going to get us anywhere soon
They need to win 4 more games most likely. Think their easy draw has helped to over inflate their current ladder position. 5 wins from 6 games against the bottom 3 so far for the season.
All Senior coaches have demanded this since Thompson was coach. Switch or backwards is priority 1. Not instinctive for Farrow. We’re screwing him up.
