I think dogs will be close to top 4 in 2020. Bevo is the next clarko, but with a mullet and a skateboard tucked under his arm.
the Dogs list is good.
The trend is to stack your midfield, and their midfield is stacked.
Naughton had a great year, can he back it up?,
Additions of Josh Bruce and the Alex Keath should improve the onfield KPP talent.
Still a potential weakness in the ruck against the best rucks, but mids are so good it probably doesnt matter too much.
And English will be another year fitter, stronger.
What I like about Bevo is he wouldnât be afraid to put one between the eyes and drop players who arenât performing.
Bevo looks â â â â â â and ready to belt some one in his post match pressers when Dogs lose there is no âlearningsâ garbage with him in charge.
I feel as if you are trying to defend our performance in that game because the opposition played one out-of-the-box.
I say to you, nay. That one is all on us.
I think its a.bit of both
The Dogs late season win against GWS was good. But the rest of their matches had predictable and unremarkable results. Theyâre very much middle of the road side.
Donât forget that a week before that non-finalists Port flogged us and the week before that basket cases Gold Coast nearly beat us.
The problem with focussing on one result, either good (GWS) or bad (WBD) is that it means nothing either way. What we need next year is consistent effort, leading to consistently good results. We may have been a sh*t side last year for large chunks, and a good side for smaller chunks, but it really doesnât matter. Weâve turned over almost a quarter of the list. We get to make a new story for 2020. Whatâs come before doesnât define us. It doesnât provide limit is, either from being woeful, or from being great. We just need to make sure that we give ourselves every opportunity to be great.
are you sure your not talking about the wallabiesâŚthey are the benchmark for private school failure!
Iâm still waiting for the vaguest scintilla of evidence that Raz was doing anything but extracting the urine with that âwant to go back to Portâ. I know BSD was sceptical about the Joe one (Iâm not), but Raz officially denied it in public, then continued on with club podcasts and then visited family in Adelaide.
Port were whining that they couldnât even speak to him. Only one commenting was Tom Jonas saying heâd spoken to him during the Port game and got no answer. My opinion is that his manager was driving the whole thing. He never asked for a trade.
Dogs, WC twice. Good teams but second tier and we got pantsed when it counted.
Hated it when that happened.
Nothing worse than getting pabtssd!
I was just going on what Ace said about him being a little concerned about our injury management.
Hurts without lube
Unless rutten and Caracella can imprint their ideas on the group and the playing group could actually turn up in the right condition physically and mentally for the season, we will just scrape into the 8 at best.
With Xavier and worsfold at the helm I have very little faith that any of the above is possible
When do the players normally come back from their Christmas break, I wouldnât mind checking out a training session while Iâm on annal leavd
Not many would argue we arenât 2nd rate.
I think we can be 1st rate and quickly, things change fast.
Dogs were second rate in 2019⌠GWS and Richmond 1st rate. Hardly contentious⌠hardly âunderselling them to make a pointâ
Took my dear elderly mother to see 'Judy" today.
Brought a tear to my eye- Garlandâs life was tragic.
With so many posts I was excited to read a training report.
Oh the disappointment to read post after post of dribble.
My point is, if heâs given similar lists, similar quality of youth coming through, and has a similar injury run, but still has the same expectation of top 6, weâre bound to end up right back here in 2, 3 or 4 years.
Sorry to derail the discussion but what time is training tomorrow?
