We had training threads last pre season where a few of us said that we thought training was poor and the sessions were dull with low energy. Yes had plenty of optimistic ones too around Tex… especially around Hobbs too. Its what we do… try and create an honest vision of what we see and compare to previous years. Yes i am optimistic by personality but hopefully i keep it real enough that if a session is crap… i will call it out. I sense though Brad Scott might not allow to many of those… hoping I am right

It’s when the club makes the most money.

The marketing team can pump up the club without any consequences of poor performances.

And we win every intraclub match.

We are the BOG of pre-season. The rest of the year we are sh*t.

@nackers @CJohns and all other esteemed training gurus, this season we’re looking to you guys to take our training reports next level by also attending enemy training and then writing up a comparative report analysing fitness, skills, size, drills, quality of the tea & scones etc.

That’s certainly an excellent suggestion.

My only problem is that it’a 300km 4 1/2 hour round trip from my place to Geelong by car, and my helicopter is still in for repair and I don’t know when I’ll get parts due to supply issues with the Ukraine war.

Otherwise I’m all set.

I can’t believe you haven’t made the parts and repaired it yourself. What could possibly go wrong?

If I can’t have optimism during preseason I’m going to be depressed about the team 12 months of the year. I enjoy the holiday!

I’m going to as many preseason training sessions as I can ……I’ll take plenty of pics, drink the ■■■■■■ coffee and I’ll bring my dog (she loves the hangar)
