One of the bench, problem solved.

Sorry, my impression of Eric Pierce.

I get it. I really do

With a very raw Blakiston who we know can rotate else where as needed then can’t see why not.

May was great today. Not sure of his defender in the second half as Reid was off but did some nice things in the air and on the ground.

Can’t see him being selected at this stage ahead of Caddy, Wright and Langford as I feel we’d be too top heavy. Scott has a history of going tall though.

i’d be very interested to see him swung into a defensive role in praccy for a quarter or so just to see how it looks. If he can hold his own it might open up the possibility of him in the 5th bench spot as a versatile swing man . i’d only do this though if ridley isn’t playing and we’re playing with only 2 kpd with redman pinch hitting as the 3rd “tall”.

it would give allow to keep a tall marking target on field when 2mp goes into the ruck and give us some defensive flexibility.

i’m not totally sold on this idea, just curious but we’d need to first see how his skills stand up down back

of course Reid being made of glass inclines me to have some tall coverage in the team too, just in case

Hell no. Classic Essington move. Let’s take a young in-form tall forward and break his confidence by playing him down back.

i’m not suggesting it should be a permanent move. I just want to know if it’s available on game day as break glass in case of emergency option

That’s a worry about Cox with a week off and no visible injury reported

Um, what? Are you saying Ridley is worth less than that? For effectively a future late first and second? And I’m the one in fairy land???

It would be very sad for him if true.

Loss of a key defender is the most likely emergency ( Reid / Ridley). Iam not saying it can not be another player, but Langford seems to be Brad’s “go to” guy to be a plus one tall in defence. It’s well known he always designated Drew Petrie to go down back to protect a lead. TBH I cannot imagine who else he might use who is definite best 23 for emergencies without weakening our tall attack. An alternative might be Blakiston down back, with 2MP into the ruck and a mid into a forward slot is one possibility, for as long as Blakiston remains our ruck.

Stopped reading after VFL listed..

But hey, loved your analysis of the full list and where they’re up to as of today. Thanks for the report!

Keeping the panic dollars well and truly in the panic purse, but at what stage do we start to ask questions of Robey? The original back injury was announced November 26th and it’s now the 6th of Feb and he hasn’t integrated into full training yet.

What kind of comment is this?

Just ignore it if you’re not interested.

His rehab progression has seemed pretty constant, in the context of a career I’m not the least bit concerned.

Considering a fair bit of that time includes the Christmas period which, while he would have followed his program, does still present a speed bump of sorts.

Yeah in context of career I’m not overly worried, but if there was a 7 week back injury with no clear return date that occurred in season, I think most would start asking questions wouldn’t they? Like, when’s he fkn coming back sorta thing.
