Sounds a bit like trying to run before we can walk
Caddy podcast out soon… he had an interesting comment that fans should get ready for Zak Johnson. He rates him very highly from his previous years
They are very good mates so no doubt a bit of mayo on it
When Gerreyn dropped that mark in defence in the first quarter of the intra club match and Kako picked it up and kicked a goal - he dished out the most obvious ‘I’ve never played defence before’ shoulder drop I’ve ever seen.
I get that but Nate’s a pretty blunt guy and his face told me it was a genuine thought.
He’s very good at diving on the ball?
Menzie is one. Been played all over the shop. Cox another, Perkins another, Martin another, Hobbs another, Tsatas another. Not that there’s anything wrong with that!
This might be harsh but Hobbs just can’t cover the ground well enough to play regularly. There isn’t a role for a player like him anymore in a team like ours. Maybe a luxury in a really good team like how Collingwood found a role for Mitchell next to Daicos and De Goey - but we don’t have the explosiveness around him to make it work.
Hope so because it would be a steal, for the record I like Johnson he is a good neat kick
In 2023 he attended 30% or more of centre bounces in 13 of his 18 games. Over 40% in 8 of those games.
In his 12 games last year the best he did was
26%, once… so he kinda did in 2023; but not in 2024.
Isn’t he talking about this pre-season? Sounded like he’s referencing recent match sim stuff:
So if they are played I another position will they get to play there specialist position ?
It’s called having a balanced list not multi skilling all that does is lower the standard
Love the honesty from THE. No corporate BS speak. He even gave Woosha praise for his “learnings”
I hope Kyle makes an extended leadership team.
Don’t normally rag another persons opinion but that is just a baseless comment.
If things go as they seemingly are, I don’t think 2MP will be playing much in 2025.
Stuck up privaye schoolboys that always got what they want maybe?
I really don’t want to continue posting in this thread, and I don’t have super strong feelings about it, but it seems people just can’t help but keep it going.
No. It’s not a baseless comment. Shiel was underwhelming in the magoos, and his attitude was criticised by posters who watched him.
So…have a nice day, sir.
I think it’s fair to say that there are three different opinions here re Dylan Shiel:
- Happy he’s playing well, and if the youngsters want a spot they’ll have to go better - 49%
- Happy he’s playing well but concerned that we need to get games into youngsters - 50%
- Not particularly thrilled that he’s playing well - wimmera1
Hobbs not tall enough to get a run in the wet at EFC.
