Bat Dance is interesting. There are two distinct careers. Pre and post bat Dance.
There are some good things on Graffiti Bridge, but generally yeah, before Batman was the good stuff. Sign of the Times is the pinnacle, but I like every album in that first half of his career.
Not too much, but still interacted well with the crowd when needed to.
Loads of cheeky looks/winks/smiles to the crowd when he was getting funky.
I’d read that at some earlier gigs in this style he’d gone into a bit of story-telling about the songs and his life.
Not to the point of ‘An evening with…’ but more than usual.
I ended up not getting tickets, price and limited notice were factors, but I was hoping he’d do a bit of that here when I was considering going.
Anyway, in the end I told myself twice was enough.

Me too. I sort of regret it now though. Oh well. I’ve been crook all week so maybe it was meant to be.
I went to the first show.- was brilliant, but shorter than expected. I’d pay to see it again though. Apparently most of set list last night was different, and more upbeat.
