I’ve had to deal with a few of these over the last few days so thought we should give Ricky another run, also wishing @Reboot all the best and a speedy recovery.
At this time l also express my heart felt wishes to Reboot for the struggle he faces, knowing he will meet the challenge head on. If anyone can lick cancer, Reboot is the man.
Go well mate.
Best of luck Reboot. I’m still hanging on and your contributions here have helped a lot.
In what might be the most Florida story ever told, a woman reportedly stopped a 12-ft alligator attack with nothing but a small .22 caliber Ruger pistol. This tale of self-control, quick thinking, and creative problem-solving is one for the books.
Here’s how she tells it:
"While walking along the edge of a pond near my house in the Villages, discussing property settlements and other divorce issues with my soon-to-be ex-husband, we were suddenly surprised by a huge, aggressive alligator charging at us from the water. Clearly, she was protecting her nest.
If I hadn’t had my little Ruger .22 with me, I might not be here today! One shot—right to my estranged husband’s kneecap—was all it took. The gator got him easily, and I simply walked away at a brisk pace.
The savings on lawyer’s fees were incredible… and the life insurance payout? A pleasant bonus."
Very best of luck Reboot,
