Yes!

Tuning the ladies on icq, only for your free “goconnect” internet to run out, or someone rings your home phone and drops the connection

You mean bags of peanuts were a thing at VFL games?

Oh wow thats great. One of the things they still do at sports stadiums in the US are peanuts. Love em.

Salted in their shells somehow.

I remember waiting half an hour for games to load on the tape drive of my Commodore 64 only to get a syntax error - WTF is a syntax error!!!

The Peanut Guy got around quite a few of the old VFL suburban grounds including Windy Hill

He would walk around the boundary and throw you the bag of unshelled peanuts and you would either throw or pass him the money.

This is only a vague memory, but I’m pretty sure when I was a kid that to call my cousins in Murtoa you rang a switchboard and asked to be connected to Murtoa 216.

But back on topic, having people comment on the old man noises I make without realising every time I sit down or get up.

I’ve got an arcade control panel (whatever they’re called) that connects via USB and while I’ve got however many hundred ROMs that came with it I only ever play NBA Jam and Marvel v Capcom

Tournament edition!

The only reason I was even thinking of it today is that apparently this is coming to Aus later in the year:
