I’m still listening to new music.

A lot of my friends just listen to stuff from our younger days…you know, classic rock stuff.

I still love a lot of that stuff but I’m still enjoying the challenge of finding new artists to listen to.

You grumble about most of it though.

Is this the thread where it’s appropriate to mention my skin tight red jeans ?

To mention yes, to wear no.

Oh - post some pics!

I did pottery at school. And really enjoyed it. About 15 yrs ago for a present I was given a series of ‘classes’ at a pottery studio. I made a few things and honestly it was like I hadn’t stopped. I got a wheel and intended to set up - but then it broke and I never really got the momentum back.

That’s really well made. Love the glaze.

I’ll definitely post pics when I’ve done something decent. At the moment I am rediscovering all the hand built techniques. I seem to have muscle memory too, some things just came flooding back.

Thanks. I got a bit carried away with the fish theme. The eel works well as the proportions make for the spout and handle to come out in one piece.

The fish teapot lid stuck a bit on firing, so I got paranoid and overdid the wax on this later one, which I regret, but at least it didn’t stick.

If any of you want to do something creative and can afford I think 600 ish for a full day, book a one day knife-making course at Waterside metal art (google it). It’s the full forged-in-fire experience, with high-carbon steel. You end up with a kitchen utility knife. It’s worth it even if you don’t get the knife you made - but you do!

This was my birthday present from the whole family.
