By no means do I think cutler and especially Gleeson are best 22. But you know what… they have come in and played there roles well when asked to. Got to give credit when credit is due well done boys.

Exactly. The logic is flawed.
Not a shot at Ivan, but often when people say “if we’d kicked goals instead of those points we’d have won” forget that if they’d kicked a goal they wouldn’t have been able to have another 2-3 shots in quick succession.
Also if a team (Dogs) made silly errors kicking for goal people assume that can easily be rectified next time, so Essendon were lucky, but the dropped marks or clangers that gave Dogs the shots at goal are somehow permanent, so the dogs aren’t considered lucky for getting those opportunities.
And in our case today the dogs only had 2 more scoring shots than us, not really an impressive stat…

I hope people understand just how fkn huge this is for our players. They’ve been setting themselves up to take a big scalp since Dreamtime, and have fallen short each time. They threw everything at the Swans last week, and would have been flat after falling short again.
To actually come out today, against the ladder leaders and form team of the comp, who have taken joy in humiliating our club over the past 7 years, and beat them, is fkng massive. What makes it even more special is that we did it without our captain, our vice-captain, one of our better mids, and our rising star CHF.
It’s wins like this that give a playing group the belief that they can achieve something special. I don’t expect much from the rest of this season, but the players will be able to hit pre-season with the confidence that their style can beat the very best teams

There were days where we ironically called for us to trade in 2MP. Then we actually did. And now he’s sinking the top team with 7 straight, kicking them from everywhere. Oh boy!
