1000% agree. The thing is, it would be less of a big deal if Parish was far more damaging by foot, but his clearances are just ■■■■■■■ blind kicks to nowhere usually resulting in a turnover.

It’s no coincidence we get smashed in the clearances the week he comes back. Watch the four goals Freo kicked from centre clearances. Every single one was Parish’s direct opponent. Until this week we had generally been winning the stoppages. He is the one player we can afford to lose with Hobbs, Caldwell etc coming through.

Yep this is it.

We’re certainly better than last year. But the players are pretty much the same and overall aren’t good enough.

I fear we’re going to get stuck in the classic cycle of overrating C graders on their occasional B+ performances.

Guelfi, Kelly, Snelling, Weid, Zerk, Lav, Phillips, they’re all not really what’s good. Durham too perhaps.

I also honestly reckon we could lose Redman and be better in the long run.

And if we don’t get more from Caldwell and Perkins soon then add them to the list.
