Ahh, finally get to enjoy the weekend.
I think a lot of people in here think we are already a much better team than we actually are.
In reality we are still very much a developing team, but we’ve definitely turned a corner. The steps we are making at the moment will make us a good team in the future.
We’re not there yet. I think the last few weeks it has shown that we won’t be giving up. It’s been ugly, but this is just the start of the ride.
He hasn’t recovered from the Hawkins hiding.
It happens but I don’t think it’s the Hawkins hiding. He played a ripper against the Tiges.
They are better off with Ratten as coach
Agree - always to the bench side of the ground with North running off half back or wing.
Smashed in the contest. At the moment it’s Zac or bust. Desperately need parish and setterfield back in.
Our set up too when there’s a contest coming in to our forward line needs work. Constantly we let opposition numbers get behind the contest and the ball is whisked out effortlessly.
Yeah they’ve been terrifying this year.
Given that they have won their last nine games in a row with Curnow and McKay firing, yes, it will be very scary.
Outstanding
That was the extended squad of 26. The final 23 was as follows
Essendon
Median: 25.77y, 72 games
Mean: 25.35y, 86.61 games
North Melbourne
Median: 24.99y, 75 games
Mean: 25.25y, 95.61 games
Just like Ben McKay who was so out of form til he played us….
He didn’t have much opposition in Weideman and we stupidly kept kicking it to him.
He’s from bridgewater in Tasmania, they are tough as nails out there. Sheil may want to take a holiday there
When Wright returns how do we use him to our advantage without becoming one dimensional ?
How do i stop the ■■■■■■■■ and ■■■■■■■■ jock ads my wife thinks im searching for them on google.
We have no small forward craft. No one seems to be roving the back of packs in the forward line. We never seem to get that ball that is spilled from the back of forward contests. Considering how many times we don’t take the pack mark and the ball ends up spilling out, we need better small forwards.
One frustrating part of todays game was a regression on the inside 50 side of things, aka bomb it in long and hope for the best
Though I would come in here and say that Langford built a nice season. Going at 2 goals a game despite being thrown around everywhere.
Exactly this. With the amount of forward entries we have, we should definitely be taking more opportunities. We never get the forward ground ball…the rebound effect is ridiculous against us.
