Review Norf game #1 for 2023

It was the usual suspects though - McGrath especially needs to have more composure in the back half and entering the forward line. Might take a while to unlearn bad habits.

What’s exciting is the younger players are the one’s who generally seem less likely to panic with the long bomb.

Already answered that. We are developing them but it won’t happen overnight. Considering we had none last year, we now have a few who can be what we need.

Serious man crush on this guy.

  • Menzie is fine, just a facial cut
  • Shiel is fine, tactical sub in his first game back
  • Wright “could” play next week
  • Praised Langford and Weideman for anchoring the forward line in 2MP absence
  • Reiterated (twice) that we were more inexperienced than the North team tonight

Luckily you’re not the one that needs to find the answer

Seriously, what you know about football could fit on to the side of a 1 cent coin, if you can find one.

the first quarter was good, the second was an essington special, the rest of the game was a lowly ranked side playing out of their skins against a team off their game.

we got smashed at the ball, with injuries to midfielders, this isn’t getting fixed soon, the current players need to do more to help Merrett

what they can control is bringing in another big forward option, if 2MP is right bring him the ■■■■ in, or play Voss. and getting some more speed in the front half is crucial, we just look slow with the mix of medium and small forward options.

I hate being magnanimous because deep down I’m a gloaty pig of a winner.

But gee whiz, North were the bees knees today and in Wardlaw they have tiny kid who will be a giant of our game.

We’ll bank the four points and move on but will need to be a lot better next week against a bruised FCFC

Well, like most are saying, it wasn’t a great performance but we got there. A few passengers though…Weed was dreadful for one. Shield didn’t look like it, MCgrath had his bad game for the year thus far, Zerk was well beaten, a few other as well. Move on to next week

For a supporter base so small, they have a high proportion of absolute fark heads.

I wonder if they will ever get microphones for the questions?

He is excellent. Hopefully his body holds up.

that’s were using stats on a stat sheet don’t necessarily paint a geat or true picture.

claiming 17 players in tonights 23 haven’t played a 100 games, yeah well that included a 31 yr old phillips, a 29 ish year old hind and a 26 yr old weeedman , technically a 27 yr old laverde on 99 games (does he become magically more experienced at the end of next week cos he’s reached 100 games ? should we expect him to dominate players now ?)

and going by some on blitz, you can develop just as much and well in the vfl, so afl games number should be irrelevant should it not ? unless afl games experience count for more ? but according to blitz they dont’ cos you know voss has gotta learn down there.
