That’s right, then if they win it’s a pleasant surprise and if they lose you get to say “I told you so”. No lose situation!
When I was young I developed my Inverse Law of Proportionalities which said that Essendon will perform in an inverse proportion to which I expect it. So if I expect them to win they will probably lose and vice versa. 40 years later I think I still subconsciously live by it.
You are.
I mean we all thought we’d be bottom four at the start of the year, and we’re not.
And that’s without 2MP who was supposed to be the guy we were building out forwardline around, and significant absences from our best midfielders.
So I feel like the season so far has been…pretty, pretty good, and I think it’s okay to enjoy that.
And enjoy it without others calling them delusional, or saying they were wrong about Essendon belting North.
That strikes me as a) silly, b) mean, c) irrelevant.
I love how some people think…no not “love”, what’s the words I’m after… I “think it’s stupid”, that’s right… that blitz is one central consciousness and the the most contemptible opinions represent the majority so they can simplify it and sink the slipper.
While the truth is out there I think it’s fair to say it’s a loose bit of everything, because whatever form line people think we have is actually impossible to nail down based on the closeness of the competition and the vagaries that no one has time to crunch and consolidate into anything to support an argument.
Truth is, for all the stupid decision making that that lanky ponce has put the competition through, he’s made one promise a reality.
