Review the Klan game - ANZAC Day 2023

Well said mate, well said

And ours is unlucky

Bullshit,
Grow up ā– ā– ā– ā–  and take a punt.

That defetist attitude kills us

4 I’d say.

They won because of Pendlebury, Sidebottom and a generational father son.

I don’t think Collingwood are plucking blokes from nowhere. They are however very well coached.

We’ll be 4-6 after 10 rounds although I’ll be happy to eat my words

Yep. Where is our generational F/S coming through?

We had Jobe, Dusty, Hird…

Pendlebury, Sidebottom, Moore, De Goey, Maynard, Daicos, Daicos, Elliot, Crisp all stars.

Martin is the next Hird…so they say

Pendlebury, Moore, DeGoey and N Daicos. That’s it. The rest are extremely good but not at a level above players from other clubs.

Our midfield setup simply didn’t work all day.

Frampton monstered our two towers and without Merrett out midfield lacked grunt.

I was hoping n the last qtr our young brigade would stand up. It didn’t happen. Hopefully we stand up over the next few weeks.

Disagree.

Which is fine

They had 282 sprint efforts, we had 204.

We do deserve it, it’s just how many times can you watch the same movie, over and over again.

I have indigestion, can’t/ will not be watching Anzac Day again.

They were too busy reading the press about themselves.

ā€˜Best ruck duo in the comp’

Seriously so far from being correct.

Maybe not a level above but they play as a team. With belief. That’s what gets them over the line most games.

Exactly

Heard the same last year after the Elliott game.

And did we learn our lesson? Not even close.

I stand by being angry at the way we ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  that game away but reflecting on preseason expectations I can’t say that I’m unhappy. Our happy run is at an end I fear so between now and the end of the season the coaches and club leaders have to build character into this playing group. Can’t keep capitulating the way we have when we get challenged. It’s our hallmark that we need to address.
