He made a massive impact and was by no means terrible.
Can play much better, need to play much better. But a managed 40 point win against a side that always drags themselves to the line against us is a nice outcome.

You know I think you are a dikkhead for your love of George Pell, but never questioned you on footy.
40 points is a big win in AFL even if was not a supreme, four quarter performance. Kangas have a good young midfield and Sheezel is a star who will be elite and win a Brownlow one day. Fisher, Wardlaw, Luk DU and Xerri make up a solid unit. Probably they will win the spoon, but have been poorly managed and now coached by a bloke who thinks they are better than they are.
Why the Fark canât you and the other Muppets on here just applaud a 40 point win, a 5% rise in percentage and clear second on the ladder.
The big challenges are ahead.

Itâs a competitive sport.
Richmond had Ninthmond games just 15 games before winning a premiership.
Even the 2000 Essendon team had their Essignton moment in 2000. And they had plenty in the years leading up to that Grand Final. 1993 had itâs Essington moment when we lost to Geelong and needed results to fall our way just to finish on top of the ladder.
Weâre not going from where we were last year to a perfectly formed Grand Final team. We will have many setbacks along the way.

Typical comments about not destroying an average team, blah blah blah. Some are never satisfied regardless of the result. Imagine picking apart a 40 point win to find faults with the team. We are second on the ladder ffs.

It was a letdown, and we didnât come switched on.
But, our letdown wins are now 40 points, not 6.
The third quarter was impressive, but our refusal to ever really put the foot down hard on a â â â â teamâs throat, still bugs me a bit.
But Iâll still take it without too much worry.
Plus, we got to run out on the ground for a kick after the game. Old school.

I donât think it was a BAD win. You certainty take the result and a 40 point win over anyone
It just seemed like nothing would go our way, and we werenât quite on. Everything bar about 15 minutes just felt laboured and frustrating. If that makes sense

The difference is when you play finals, usually the opposition are actively trying to win also, not manage a margin of defeat.

Itâs about not turning up.
Itâs about deciding when to play.
Itâs about not having a way of playing football that we stick to, week in, week out.
Take the win, sure.
But today showed nothing to suggest that the team are not frigginâ flakes.
And Iâm sorry if you canât get that.

So Essendon thrash North and people are still moaning. I am hating all this nit picking.
Man up and celebrate. That is a great percentage builder against a resilient Kangaroo team bottom of the league.
