We’re 4-1 having beaten a premiership favourite, after having lost our forward who kicked 50+ goals last year.
Merrett, Shiel and Parish are all playing well together for the first time in forever.
We have a big and strong inside mid who specializes in tackling.
We’re kicking goals and spreading them evenly every week.
Our defence has been strong and reliable all year.
We’re sitting 2nd on the ladder with I’m sure some mathematical possibility to finish top.
Life is good right now.

Not to be too negative, but as long as we are competitive the next four weeks, even if we are 4 wins 5 losses (which is probably what the odds would suggest with games against the Pies, Cats, Port and Lions coming up) - I’ll still be super stoked with this season.
Don’t want to get too far ahead of myself, but that was an excellent win today. I had us at the top of the bottom 6 in my predictions at the start of the year (ahead of the Roos, Hawks, Eagles, GWS, Suns), but if we pinch one out of the next 4, I’d say we can well and truly push for finals.

I just got home. OMG. That was bloody brilliant. I said we’d win by 3 goals to my mates and we won by even more.
I love this new team.
Great atmosphere too. I loved seeing people dressed in colours from all the teams.

ANZAC Day will be massive. The Pies move the ball with speed so controlling the ground like today will be tough. Win clearance; post clearance possessions and we’ll be half way there! Come on Bombers!!
