Review thread vs GEEEEELONG 2024

Where do you rank geelongs?

We bettered theirs

Ditto GWS and the Dogs.

Just look at the guys not playing in it at present.

Two former All Australians and 1 top 5 draft pick

There is no point suggesting Scott should be sacked. Who out there would we replace him with? There is no one else. All he needs to do is pull his head out of the sand and correct the errors of his ways. Not sure anyone at the club has the agates to tell him though.

Brad Scott is a good, calm coach but fck is there any chance he could get creative, and maybe bring in some kids to add some dare and excitement? We are way too slow and tall.

Sounds like we were expecting basically no rain last night and it ended up raining fkn heaps, no idea what the forecast was actually saying but if we’d known and been confident it’d have rained the team would’ve changed

Basically fire our weatherman

Well, this is what I bloodywell think:

  • I am overseas
  • I didn’t see the game
  • I didn’t listen to the game
  • I did read some of the comments to see what happened
  • I had a really good sleep last night
  • I might go for a swim today

Here is a cute little cat to cheer you all up ( no pun intended)

Video gif. An adorable kitten looks at us, holding its paws together as if praying or pleading.|100%x100%

Just saw the clip of Langford on the footy show. Basically saying they dropped their bundle after the decisions in the third quarter. It’s something that they work on with the help from Ben Robbins.

But then interestingly, he said the playing group didn’t talk about it after the game as they were all just too disappointed with the result.

Seems like something they very much need to address and I’m hoping something Scott pushes this week. He’s on AFL360 tomorrow night so maybe he’ll speak about it in more detail.

Honestly feels like the players can easily drop their bundle for the remainder of the season at this point.

Brad said as much in presser last night was disappointed that we dropped our bundle and didn’t refocus on the task at hand in the 4th. Something that we have been ok with this year is fighting till the end if it wasn’t going our way wasn’t there last night

We were keen to get our clearance/stoppage game back on track and played the two rucks. It largely worked as we won clearance pretty handily. I thought if we could do that, we would win.
But man our forward entries were poor after half time, we just played into Geelongs hands dumping long and they had more numbers at the ball drop each time. They were much better outside the contest than we were, similar to Carlton a few weeks ago.

Does have that feel about it.

Mentally weak. Looks like the streak will hit 25 years before we know it.

I only saw the clip posted online. Barrett said all the panel had been copping it on social media from Essendon supporters after last night.

Langford did say that he’s still not clear about the rule for rushed behinds but he could t say too much about the umpiring.

Yep.
And this is the time where we see improvement in us.
If we have terrible losses where the game was over at half time like we did at the end of last year, then there’s no improvement.
Whatever improvement we’ve made to this point can be undone with a terrible showing to end the year.

If we match last year’s finish, Brad will be gone next year as soon as there’s a month lull in form. The external pressure will be immense and I don’t think we have a board or club admin to see that level of scrutiny through.

We dropped our bundle round 18 2023. Seems like we are doing it again. I dont buy it. We have way too experienced players down, Redman, Wright, Langford to name a few. Where is the Essendon edge? Blaming the umpires is a complete deflection of where we are at.

No, he was copping it.

The whole panel said that the rushed behind wasn’t a free kick, except Barrett who said that the Free kick was correct.

Cant wait for Laura Kane to say on Monday that every decision was correct
