Once again, we have fairly easy goal opportunities early in the game and we either miss or not even make the distance. Caddy has to learn to convert straight away and Stringer was terrible tonight.
Our forward line continues to be a major weakness.

What I want to know is
How can we kick 4 goals in a row or whatever at the end of the game and not throughout the game more? The last 7 minutes proved we can move fast and kick goals. (Or was that just an absolute fluke?) That seems to be a mentality thing, like they were in a rush and sort of embarrassed? Why can’t that mentality come in at the beginning of the game and stay throughout.
Essendon rarely get experience in wet conditions. They play well in perfect conditions and this is why it needs to get back to the MCG. It needs to be a harder and more robust side and in the wet it gets found out.
Whatever happens next week is really fools gold. They aren’t there yet.
