Disposal is a disgrace.
Ball movement from stops in play is too slow, we’re not even playing possession footy and definitely not early round footy.
Midfielders are front runners and don’t have defence first mindset.
Whole teams positioning is so off and players are playing in the wrong spots. Ridley is playing way too high, can’t be getting dragged on to the mark on our half forward line.
Our only play makers are all out:
Merrett around his ball and uncontested stuff off half back.
Stringer at stoppages and in front of the footy.
Langfords aerial presence and creating space between the arcs.
Snelling being an easy hit up in front of the footy.
Jones for his long CHF leads.
Walla for his magic.
I can’t believe the call to play man on man or defence first after qtr time round 1 still hasn’t happened. 20 qtrs of footy and nothing has changed.

All they have to do is pretend to apply pressure, that will be enough to wipe us off the map.

It really did. We didn’t have the personnel to go with the best last year, but we had a style that suited us very well and was causing damage. Why the fark did we move away from that? Are our coaches trying to get too cute with their defensive zone rubbish?

I think McGrath can get better and work on his defensive game, but agree definitely Shiel is tradable but doubt anyone would want him
