Brisbane should have taken the game out of our hands. They are meant to be top 4.
A performance like that adds a lot of interest to the rest of the season.
Can we sustain this type of play week in week out?
And what happens at selection?
Surely the penny has dropped about getting the kids in and support them with the best players from the “non-kids who will be in our future competitive side” group.
Anyone who ain’t on that latter list should not be getting games.

It’s called opposition pressure APE man (Dunstall) I miss when Sam Newnham used to call him that
imagine we did that against richmond. looked like we were gonna win by 100 at qtr time then almost look like losing it we would be spewing if we were lions fans.i guess they just need a win.

I predicted 50+ and at quarter time thought would be 100+ loss.
after qtr time we showed good effort and spirit.
Now that was fun, keep sending these kids up. No changes!! Results dont matter, effort and team building does, they started to feel that!! Love that for them.

Dunstall might be a bit sour grapes after Essendon gave Brisbane way more of a challenge than his mob.

I don’t want to glorify a loss, feels very wrong, but we played better tonight than in 5 of our wins so far this year.
I’m not sure how great Brisbane were in comparison, especially off a 5 day break, but some good signs.

If that’s what a development year looks like then sign me up.

It is great that we now have Duzz, Caddy, Clarke, Roberts, Merrett, Caldwell, Kako, Duursma (gives everything), Draper, Ridley, Marto and a few more but we need to remove the players that always make dumb footballing decisions.
